12oz bottle. Filtered tan-brown body. Thin, off-white head. Medium bodied, pleasant toasty medium brown malts. A pretty enjoyable Vienna, better the US Amber I had assumed it to be. Simplistic, straightforward, OK.

12 fl.oz. bottle. Pours clear dark amber colour with a very small white head. Aroma of red malt and grain. Taste of red malt, caramel, grain and some hops, boring!

Bottle. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, honey and nuts. Flavour of earth, peppery spice, fig and a touch of marzipan. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A beautifully balanced beer - lots of warming, roasted flavours.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep amber/copper color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance, complexity, and robustness of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly clean on lager flavors with some light estery off flavor notes present. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready moutthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid vienna lager. All around good robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. No idea on age of this bottle; but some definite signs of age are there, with some off flavors from the yeast as well. Might be better when it’s fresh. A fairly enjoyable offering as it was.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is caramel malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a chewy sweet malt, light yeast, hoppy bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 12/28/14
Aroma: The aroma is sweet and malty, caramel, some bread, spice, and a little orange
Appearance: This one pours a murky orange-brown color, with a small tan head and streaky lace
Flavor: Tastes rather sweet, with a light spice component that the sweetness dominates
Palate: The body is medium, it is fairly sticky on the mouth, with a lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this one was okay. It gets a bit too sticky, and lacks that balancing component to make it a better beer. It also feels a little too muddled. It is not bad, but it is not all that good either.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy, dirty amber with minimal head. Aroma of dank watery brown malt. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Burning and follows aroma. Meh, nothing special here.

Large sample at the Clay Oven, Irvine CA on 14th July 2014 during an Indian food and beer tasting evening. Amber body, almost clear, thin white head. Light malty nose with a sweet hint. The taste is also on the sweet side initially with mild caramel and tropical fruitiness, Hops do calm the brew down and give some bitterness mid-sip but the semi-sweetness arrives again in the finish. Pleasant without getting me excited.

Danish tasting session; old bottle
Hazy amber color with small head. Aroma of soil, malt, cereals, light chestnut honey. Old malt flavor, some oxidization, ordinary bitterness.
Definitively too old.
