Rich dark stout. Started as a breakfast stout, but then we got carried away. This is the full monty with five different malts, generous additions of cocoa, freshly ground coffee and primed with maple syrup to give a little sweetness in the finish. And as it’s is part of our British hops series what else could we call it but Full English Breakfast Stout.

Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head and a little lace. The aroma roasted malt, light smoke. The flavour is moderate bitter with a roasty, dry coffee, chocolate, smoky spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
