Cisk Strong is an outstanding premium lager brewed from barley malt, with a full-bodied flavour and a distinct sweet taste. Its subtle bitterness and fresh fruity aroma make this high-gravity beer an ideal accompaniment to meats and savoury foods. A winter warmer, it is perfect to be enjoyed at home as a complementing beer to hearty stews, spicy food as well as barbequed meats and poultry. It is also recommended to serve Cisk Strong with blue cheese and cheddar when you have friends over at home.

Cisk Strong has an alcohol content of 9% ABV and not for the faint-hearted. It is available locally in bottles, and on draught in Italy. It is annually made available on draught at the Farsons Beer Festival as a treat to its growing loyal followers.

--Sample, thanks Robin! -- Clear golden, rich firm head. Honeyish nose with apricots and peppery alcohol. Sweet with medium body and clan, rounded mouthfeel. Some syrup, notes of apples and cereals. Peppery warming finish with low bitterness.

50 cl can bought at Cork's Paceville. A crystal-clear pale golden pour with almost no (foamy off-white) head and loads of bubbles. Aroma is mild, just some grass and some iron and some custard. Sweetish, very bitter, medium-bodied. Long-lasting thanks to that absurd estery bitter side. Aftertaste is paper-wrapped bad liquor, cardboard, booze. Terrible. It's stated here as a strong pale lager, but I'm pretty certain this is a malt liquor.

11/7/2018. Bottle from Mom & Pop, St.Julian's, Malta. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma of grain, malts, toffee, syrup, vanilla, dried fruits and alcohol. Towards heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Quite a decent one for the style.

Heller, süßlich malziger Beginn. Getreidig-hopfiger, zunehmend süßer Mittelteil, der Alkohol wird deutlich ersichtlich. Feine Karbonisierung, langer Nachhall. Okay... 8/7/8/7/9/7

At a tasting, smallish bubbly head, clear quite intense yellow color, alcohol malt and some straw in aroma, sweet with lots of alcohol. Boozy, almost undrinkable.
