Cisk Strong is an outstanding premium lager brewed from barley malt, with a full-bodied flavour and a distinct sweet taste. Its subtle bitterness and fresh fruity aroma make this high-gravity beer an ideal accompaniment to meats and savoury foods. A winter warmer, it is perfect to be enjoyed at home as a complementing beer to hearty stews, spicy food as well as barbequed meats and poultry. It is also recommended to serve Cisk Strong with blue cheese and cheddar when you have friends over at home.
Cisk Strong has an alcohol content of 9% ABV and not for the faint-hearted. It is available locally in bottles, and on draught in Italy. It is annually made available on draught at the Farsons Beer Festival as a treat to its growing loyal followers.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Golden with a small white head. Alcohol, graininess, a bit of honey, sweet, bitterish finish, light to medium-bodied, boozy. Unpleasant.

Bottle. Too much alcohol, warmth. Too much sweetness as well, feels sugary. Singledimensional boozy and characterless. Some dried fruits in the background, figues. Meh.

Clear darker golden colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of grains and honey; taste is the same with overripe fruits (mainly pear); the alcohol is very well hidden and can only be felt in the aftertaste, which is not so typical in case of high ABV lagers; quite enjoyable

Earlier Rating: 7/10/2015 Total Score: 2.2Pours a clear darker golden color, topped with a relatively small white head. Malty aroma, slightly smelly and obvious alcohol aroma. Taste is similar, malty and sweet but with a pretty obvious alcohol presence, unpleasant, medium bitterness. Alcohol is too obvious to be enjoyable.

Bottle from All 4U, St Julian, Malta. Poured clear medium amber with a think broken white head and a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light caramel, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, light sweet, with a big malt burning alcohol, medicinal palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a great beer, but i’ve tasted much worse and plenty worse from Cisk themselves.

Bottle from the local Supermarche in Malta. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet grainy euro strong nose, light alcohol, dough and cereal. The taste is sweet, grassy bitterness, doughy, cereal and grain with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I am upraised this actually has decent bitterness to it which carries the sweet body a bit. Good for this style.
