Can at the "Colin and the Vikings tasting, Goteborg". Poured a hazy straw colour with thin white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is big yeast, rich malt alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a malt veggie light spice ligh pumpkin alcohol palate. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with lots of very tiny floaters and a small soapy bright white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and yeasty with notes of sourdough bread, a hint of honey and vague spice. The flavor was dryish, malty and bready with notes of honey, faint vague spices and a mild underlying bitterness. Medium length bread, honey and spice finish. Medium body. Ok.

12 ounce can from Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready malts, pumpkin spice, yeast, caramel, mild pumpkin. The taste is pumpkin, earth, yeast, candi sugar, spice, cotton candy, mild herbal hops. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight heat. Nice beer.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright gold with a slight white head. Mild pie spice aroma. Med body. Flavor is pretty much pumpkin pie spice. It has something that suggest ginger - more than usually found in pie - but not quite the same. A spicy bite anyway. Not really getting fruit esters or yeast. This is interesting stuff. Think I can actually taste pumpkin squash - which is not all that common in pumpkin beers.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sour pumpkin aromas. Sweet pumpkin and spices front to back. Lasting bitter yeast finish. Becomes cloying after a while....

New Beer Distributors, NYC 12oz ($3): Pours golden with white head. Aroma is some spices, herbs, a bit of medicine, along with a bit of fruitiness. Taste is similar. It is kind of medicinal. It ain’t too sweet. Alcohol is well covered. I agree with anyone who says that this is worse than the porter.

12 ounce can. Light gold color. Big foamy white head. Light spicy, yeasty malt nose. Sweet bready malt flavor with obvious notes of pumpkin pie spice. Some notes of tropical fruit and yeast. Hints of citrus hops pipe in as well. Sweet malt and yeast flavor become more bitter and dry in finish. Overall, pretty tasty.
