Bjäre Pils är en välbalanserad ljus lager med känsla av karamellmalt och milda humletoner. Ett lättdrucket sällskapsöl.

Bottle, thanks to Ronny (rlgk) split at Colin and the Vikings "pre" tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is light fart, tarte orange, straw, hint vegetal, light vinegar. Taste comprises tarte rotting fruit, more vegetal and vinegar, infected I presume. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close laced with tarte fruit notes. Meh - what a Bastad !

How: Bottle.
Where: Pre-tasting to Colin and the Vikings, Göteborg.
Appearance: Opaque brown colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Sour, citrus.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Bad sour flavour. Would suspect it to be infected if there aren’t so many that say the same thing with so much time in between. Several infected batches, or just a bad beer.

Bottle at the "Colin and the Vikings tasting, Goteborg". Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is sour fruit. The flavour is strong sour with a light malt sour fruit palate. Must be infected i’m afraid. Nothing like a pils at all.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy pale orange, huge head. Almost lambic-lie acidid nose with lemon and vinegar. Sweet and sour mithe medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Clearly infected with salted lemon and old grass. Mid bitter finish. Completely ruined. Another contribution to the obscure style Scanian Sour Lager.
