Our take on a classic Irish dry-style stout. Brewed with a simple combination of base malt, a touch of oats, and plenty of roasted barley, this is a silky smooth, pitch black stout full of deep roasty black coffee and dark chocolate flavours with a hint of smoke, leading in to a moreish dry finish. Hops: East Kent Goldings.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Oats come through strongly in the aroma, alongside roasted malts and some smoky traces. In the mouth it is quite sweet and smooth with a creamy texture. Flavour starts off with roasted malts and chocolate and just a trace of oats, though the latter increases to dominate eventually. Hints of liquorice and vanilla later too. Finish is fairly dry. This is a decent dry stout.
