Ellis Bitter is a widely grown Devonshire apple from the mid 1800s with a powerful tannic character. It makes for a unique and enjoyable cider, with high bitterness and astringency. This bottling is a blend of matured 2022 season cider with a fresh and youthful 2023 barrel blended in. The result is a more drinkable and complex Ellis Bitter than a single year standing on its own. 500ml. 6.8%

500ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. Golden colour, white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, flesh, funk. Taste is tart, tangy, apple, astringent, woody, funky with bitter tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.
