Bottled 750ml. -from E.Leclerc Lille, shared with Hrabren. Unclear amber coloured, small off-white head, spicy and mild dried fruits in the nose. Fruity, spicy, discreet smoke, notes of wood and light yeast with touch of alcohol in the finish. Not bad.

0.7 l bottle thanks to Ogi, shared with Damien, Brada, Veceo and Ogi. Unclear amber to brown, small off-white to tan head. Aroma is dried fruit, dried pear, molasses, brown sugar, and caramel candy. Hints of black pepper. Not very rich, aromas slightly shy. Medium body, light for the style. Smoke, salt, malty, dried fruit, dried pear and apple. Slightly sticky, smooth, soft carbonation. Finishes sweet.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Clear mahogany colour, small head. Aromas of dates, faint coal smoke and caramel. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Brown sugar, peat, salmiak, tobacco, dates and caramel. Warming, mildly bitter finish with notes of banana. Complex and intense.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear, deep amber with a neat, lacing off-white head. Overripe fruity aromas, brown sugars and a hint of both Belgian yeast and smoke. Rich, malty body, caramelly but not overly sweet. Warming alcohol finish with no bitterness. 291125

Føtex 30dkk/75cl. nice price
light red amber, beige head.
flowery perfumey dried dark fruty aroma. i would blind guess this aroma to grimbergen.
Flavor is dried dark fruits, perfumey flowery notes, faint alc. taste, but alc. also adds body so it's not as bad as it could be. In a way almost have some barley wine qualities.
for a quad it's a bit perfumey and not very yeasty. tastes a bit like when danish breweries tries to make a quad and fails.
overall a decent booze-bomb but not top of the line from belgium.
At the low price, it is value for money.

Bottle, 75cl. Straight forward, nothing particular going on. Dark dried fruit, caramel, yeast and a wee smoke hint. Decent. A bit young perhaps. 747413 250530

75 cl bottle picked up at a Netto discounter poured into a Trappist glass. Slightly hazy dark mahogany colour with with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, prunes, nuts, resin, and a slightly vinous note. The taste is sweet. Full body. Slightly drying sweet finish. Lacks complexity compared to the best Belgian quadruples, still good value for money, trough.
