Our first rauchbier, this full bodied porter has dark malt flavors and is pleasantly smoky on the nose and palate. The naturally smoked barley gives it a bitter finish that reminds you of an evening with a cigar by the fire.

On draught at the taproom. Brown-black pour with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a wispy film. Strings of lace on the glass. Smoky aroma with malt and coffee notes. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is smoky with a burnt malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
