Following on from a chat with Mark the landlord of The Rowbarge at his recent beer festival, we were commissioned to brew a house beer for them. It's called Compass Point Ale, which is copper coloured bitter using only English malts and hops. It's a good session strength ale that's been selling very well.

Cask at the Row Barge, Guildford. Frothy short lived head with little lacing. Slightly malty aroma leading a malty taste with a slight hint of caramel. Very smooth and just a touch of bitterness on the palate. Very low carbonation and like a typical English bitter, it should be served warm. A decent session ale but there's not much to set this beer apart from the crowd. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
