Black as the deepest dungeon. Beige layer on top. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and soft carbonation level. Quite fruity flavor in this one. Cherries and chocolate.

Bottle at home. Pours black with brown head. Complex aroma of dark dried fruits, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, chocolate, cherries, liquorice. Taste sweet with some fruity and bitter notes. Slightly smooth mouth feel and with alcoholic warmth.

From tap at Bøker&Børst with BHK 28.08.16. Ebony. Diminishing brown head and not much lacing. Aroma and resiny taste of dried fruits, cherries in madeira, dates, freshly roasted cooffee, wood and cough medicine. Very complex aftertaste, almost wih a hint of chili.

Bottle in a hotel room in Malmö, bought at Vinmonopolet in Haugesund in July 2016. Black with a small tan head. Thick and smooth with roasted malt, ash, dark chocolate, light wood and hints of vanilla. Sweet and with a long finish. Tasty.

Svart farge med lys brunt skum. Lukter av kakao, vanilje, alkohol og mørke bær. Som fløte i munnfølelse. Smaker myyyye. Litt oljete og samtidig syrlig. Kaffe og sjokolade og salt lakris. Bærsødme som avslutning. God??

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, dark chocolate malt with loads of gin alcohol, juniper, dark fruits, molasses, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a beautiful sweet chocolate cake with candy sugar, vanilla, licorice notes, molasses, light aniseed, very nice and complex. Bottle at VIP Lounge Mondial 2016.

330ml bottle, batch 1308, brought back home from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. The oily pour reveals a pitch black body with an espresso head slowly diminishing while leaving scattered lacing on the glass. Aromatic with roasted dark malts, including chocolate and dark bread. Comprehensive flavour profile of chocolate, earth, prunes, molasses and dark berries, backbone of bourbon throughout. Warming and long-lived finish. Velvety in the mouth. Perfect slow sipper on a Saturday afternoon (Tromsø 30.04.2016).

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget lavt skum som raskt blir til film. God aroma av kaffe, sjokolade & lakris. Konsistens som motorolje. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken kompleks. Lakris. Frukt. Blir tørr etter hvert. Supert øl. Alkoholen godt kamuflert.
