On tap at Blend Bar & Bistro in Hamilton,NJ. Deep amber gold color. Frothy white head. Fragrant pine and citrus hop nose. Flavor follows nose with notes of peppery spice. Complex and bitter throughout with a solid toasted malt backbone. Dry, bitter finish. Quite good.

Bottle from The Food Emporium, 8th Ave, NYC. Pours amber with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, apricot, banana, citrus, hops, grass, malt and caramel. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Decent brew.

Poured from can dated 5/14/17 hazy copper orange with a nice white head. Aromas of caramel malt floral notes and dank citrus. Taste is mildly sweet caramel as its not fresh citrus pith and a lingering piney bitterness.

12oz bottle pours with a near clear copper body that has thick gold edges and supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up lots of sweet smelling crystal malts, malts and a bit of dark fruity esters with just thin wisps of mineral, sort of earthy to spicy hops well off in the background. The taste however does deliver a tasty array of hoppiness. I get floral hops, a spicy mineral hop like sensation, full on bitter grassy hops and then a herbal earthy tea hoppiness. This doesn’t have the standard IPA hops and that’s great. Behind the hops are sweet dark crystal malt notes, thin sweet figs, some sweet malts and then a biscuit maltiness rounding things out. I like the taste with a bit of a different take on the hop bill but it still delivers tasty hoppiness.

Bottle into a shaker showing well filtered dark orange peel with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows malt on the front end that warms up into light citrus and orange zest. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of the same light citrus and orange zest with a few notes of tropical mango and kiwi in between. Moderately intense on all the flavors with a moderately to large bitterness on the finish. The bitterness lasts a bit longer onto the linger. A slightly above average IPA.

12 oz bottle @ home, a present from the wonderful Aaltje from De Bierkoning, thanks! Bottled 12/31/2015. Hazy orange/amber color. Off white head, stiff as whipped cream. Aroma’s of tropical fruit, passion fruit, some malty sweetness. Also some resin retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full bitter and moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finish is long lasting bitter, but not too harsh. Next time I should try a fresh bottle.

Draught at the brewer, 5/21/16.
Light amber-to-brass body shows a good clarity and an off-white head atop with moderate retention.
Peach, melon, ruby red grapefruit and mango in the nose seems to rather deftly combine aspects of both West Coast and New England styles. Lengthy finish replete with dry lemon and light honey from the malt. Clean. No alcohol.
Soft, malty-sweet texture nonetheless shows good attenuation and no flaw or alcohol. Modest bitterness never really intensifies or gets too piney, as melon, meyer lemon and light pineapple all keep things very bright, the honey-like malt notes helping to see to this as well. Very drinkable, with soft, engaging, low carbonation. Would definitely drink this again.
