Our latest barrel aged offering, Vietnamese Coffee Abraxas is in collaboration with our friends at CLAG Brewing Company in Sandusky, Ohio. We selected choice Heaven Hill and Wild Turkey barrels to give the standard Abraxas treatment plus the addition of a Vietnamese coffee selected by our CLAG friends. We regularly release BA Abraxas and Coffee Abraxas, but this will be the first time releasing a barrel aged Coffee Abraxas- enjoy the marriage. *Contains Lactose

2023 750mL green wax bottle drunk 9/29/23, SP 10th anniversary line share. Dark, unclear. Small, tan bubbles. Lactose and coffee are notable but not overdone. Some roast, with bright, spicy barrel character and a seemingly ng large amount of acidity. Cinnamon is strong, though again, not dominant/problematic. Some heat from alcohol and/or bourbon. Soft, sweet, somewhat mushy and at the same time not as thick as I'd like with an almost artificiality to it from the lactose. Thinning exposes raw cinnamon, strong bourbon dryness and light alcohol. Coffee is strong and roasty as well. Some choco-vanilla helps but this one seems much too young yet.
