Our Trippel has always been a big, beautiful Belgian-style ale, but in 2015, we tweaked the recipe to include a new yeast variety and even more complex malt profile. This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional Belgian yeast. Brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts, Trippel is classically smooth and complex, and sings with a high-note of sweet citrus before a pleasantly dry finish delivers a warm, strong boozy bite. Pours a cloudy see through yellow. Nice head that stays around for awhile. Flavor is a doughy citrus with hints of bananas and cloves. Nice beer in so many ways, excellent flavor and appearence. Bravo for New Belgium for making a excellent tripple here in the states.

I liked this Triple. It had a good hazy golden color with a respectable head that laced nicely. It had a fruitbowl aroma and flavor and a crisp finish. Well done Triple. 4/04/05 Re-rate (score is re-rate) Huge creamy head of eggshell white. Hazy orange body. Aroma is citrusy orange and dough. Aroma +1 from original rate. Appearance unchanged. The flavor was a bit acidic and this dropped the palate score 1. Overall dropped 2 points.

Slightly hazy golden colour with orange highlights and a medium-sized head with very large bubbles. Smells of yeast, bananas and cloves. Coriander seed might be used as well, as the clean/fresh aroma is noticeable. Full-bodied; sweet taste full of great characteristics: bananas, cloves and honey are all very prominent. The alcohol is almost unnoticeable in the taste...which is a great factor! Aftertaste has great sweet characteristics such as caramel and fresh pineapple. Overall, a better than average Tripel, definately one of the best I've ever had.! It gives Ally Tripel Reserve a run for it's money! Pick one up if you've never had it and it's available! This bottle was good until: 12-june-2004, which probably means it was bottled one year prior. I bought this 12 ounce beer at Liqour Mart in Boulder, Colorado.

Fruity (banana) and oatmeal nose. Amber color, lowish head. Banana is prominent in the taste too which I find kind of disturbing in a tripel. That and the light body kind of made me think I was drinking a american wheat (but a tasty one at that). All in all I do not think the style was hit very well here.

Another great beer from New Belgium (thanks PhillyBeer2112!). The beers in actual Belgium can't be much better than this can they? Poured a golden amber color with a thick head. Aroma alternated between fruity and hoppy. Cleverly balanced spicy flavor with hops, alcohol, and fruit with a nice citrus aftertaste. Good stuff.
