ELEPHANTS AND ORANGES

How do you stop a hungry elephant? With an orange – they don’t like citrus. So the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation society is encouraging farmers to plant orange trees along with their traditional crops. We brew our non-alcoholic I.P.A. with exotic mango, cardamom and orange peel (making it irresistibly elephant-proof) plus we’re donating 1% of sales to Project Orange Elephant to support their work deterring those inquisitive trunks.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Bit hazy dull golden with fluffy head. Grassy hops, orange zest, wort, bread crust, a touch of mango. Medium sweet and bitter. Over loght bodied. Quite OK, but I don't get much mango.

Slightly hazy orange pour, small white head. Malt, orange, mango, coriander with a decent bitter finish. Not bad for an AF.

0.33 l bottle from 'HEMA' (Zutphen), best before September 2026. Very hazy, golden with a medium large, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity-floral aroma of grains, some mango and light citrus. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of grains, mango, citrus and light corn flakes, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent, but not nearly as tasty as the regular version.

13/VI/25 - 33cl bottle from Albert Heijn Ghelamco (Gent) @ Eline’s ATP-raad dinner, BB: 18/IX/26 (2025-547) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the can!

Pretty clear orange blond beer, huge very irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, very fruity, juicy, tropical fruits, mango indeed, a little dank, pleasant smell! MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very metallic, grains, hay, wort, bitter touch, a bit unpleasant, tropical fruits. Aftertaste: fruity, tropical fruits, juicy, a bit sweet, some passion fruit, mango, wort, a little chemical in the finish, good stuff for a N/A beer.
