Can shared by Mikey. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white bubble of head. Sweet fruit nose. Basic, earthy, mostly sweet pear and some light earthiness. Decent.

16.9 oz can. Pours clear pale gold with a dissipating crackling white head that leaves a ring. Aroma is fruit gone bad, sad to say. Taste starts out sweet before becoming quite tart. The rotten fruit present in the nose is accounted for in flavor, as well, but itโs not as pungent. Carbonation is low compared to most commercial examples, but still very much present. Drinkable, but not too impressive.

Tastes alright. Lots of pear here. Some alcohol. Some sourness. Pretty much tastes like a cider. tall can.

Pours a light yellow, with soft carbonation. Aromas of pears and apples. Crisp. Smooth pear and apple flavors. Nice carbonation. Almost like a mellow late harvest wine...

Can poured at BTBF. Pours with a clear, very pale yellow with no head, good clarity and some signs of carbonation. Aromas are sharp with sulfur, wine, mold, mild acidity, musty. Not much distinct pear at all. Light fruitiness. Flavors are tart, artificial acid, tangy, sweet, pear, sulfur. Slightly rotten character. Medium bubbles with a strangely fuller body (sugar added), syrupy a bit. Not great.

Can: Farmhouse funk and lime aroma, with an overriding new plastic smell. Effervescent pale yellow, clear. Highly acidic, not super sweet pear and granny smith apple flavor. Somewhat rubbery. Twig finish. Not awful and has character.

Originally rated November 2006. Purchased at the LCBO, my first pear cider. There was another Williamโs Sir Perry from the US, but this is not the one. This one from England, pours a clear very light yellow colour with the usual cider bubbly small head that disappears fast. The pear smell is mild, with a butternut aroma sticking out. Watery mouthfeel with a slight tart. The taste is not too sweet and does not have the metallic flavour that many ciders have. A little grainy with the pear juice taste. Quite nice and refreshing. A good alternative to apple ciders.
