A heavily dry hopped Farmhouse ale using ingredients from both CT and VT. We used VT white cedar and CT balsam fir tips in the boil.

On tap at Two Roads, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out leafy green hops, pithy stone fruits and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with stone fruits, dry piney hops and biscuity malt. Fresh and dry, with a nice fruitiness. Ordinary but done well. Decent.

16 ounce can. Hazy honey gold color. Large rocky white head. Juicy, spicy malt nose. Flavor is light bready malt with earthy notes. Dry spicy notes in middle. Hints of coriander and pine. More like a Farmhouse ale than an IPA. Good nonetheless.

$4.00 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours slightly hazy golden with a soft white head. Aroma is light vomit, straw, yeast, gum, cedar. Flavor is yeast, bubblegum, hay, orange peel and flesh, tangerine, earth, a bit of funk. Good... different.

Can - first, it was probably a mistake to market this as an IPA - second, for a beer that attempts to be a farmhouse/IPA hybrid, it kind of fails at being both - muddy flavor, subdued hop character, so estery notes and a touch of pepper, but it's swallowed in the overall muddiness - a weak beer overall, especially from such brewers - I remember the days of going to Southampton and being wowed every time - now, more often than not, I am disappointed.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. White soapy head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet bubblegum and farmhouse funk aromas. Crisp with bubblegum and banana upfront turning watery, hot sourdough and pine in the lasting finish.
