This Bock is a recreation of Christian Heurich’s Senate Bock, originally released as a seasonal lager in Washington D.C. during the 1930s and 40s. German specialty malts provide flavors of toasted bread crust and caramel, with a noble hop aroma. This beer is brewed in collaboration with the Heurich House Museum and Lost Lagers

Caramel and a little potpourri. Pours dark maroon with pretty good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Pleasant and easy drinking. Finishes sweet but crisp enough that the caramel doesn't stick with you. That means it's flavourful but crushable. Tap at brewery.
