No getting caught in the rain on this one. Coladascope is coming at you heavy with all the inspiration from a Pina Colada turned up to 11. Not much into health food? We got kilos of pure coconut milk for a delicious tropical haze. Don’t have half a brain? How about pineapple SCIENCE, ditching the acidity of pineapple juice we’ve gone for Pineapple flavour terpenes for all the bright without the zing. Then slapped it with the most tropical hops we could find, Sabro and Talus, it is still an IPA after all. Grab some at a bar called O’Malley’s and plan your escape.

Tap at Brewdog Waterloo. Not so much hazy as an opaque deepngold. Thin foamy white head is barely a mm thick. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a citrus edge and a hint of bitterness. Sweet and creamy. No mistaking the coconut milk. Peripheral bitterness and sourness. Citrus and resin. This latterly gains some traction. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Flat carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice enough but somehow lacks the killer licks... perhaps the flat carb projects a flat feeling.

Light golden yellow with a thin white cap.
Nose is pineapple, mandarin, juicy tropicana, papaya.
Taste comprises papaya, pineapple rings, sweet edged malts, guava, light pine rinse.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness.
A serviceable IPA if running a touch sweet for my liking.
