BA Imperial Baltic Porter
An indulgent imperial Baltic porter aged in Madeira casks for 16 months.
Taste: The first sip explodes with a delightful mix of toasted grains, caramelized sugars and bright red berries, reminiscent of a warm homemade cherry pie. Bit by bit the character of Madeira starts to unfold and flows over the palate with notes of sun-kissed grapes, dried figs and chocolate ganache, balanced by a peppery hop bitterness and exquisite oak tannins.
Appearance: A mahogany brown beer with a dense beige head.
Nose: Rich and toasty, with a wave of dark chocolate and mocha notes interwoven with the warmth of toasted almonds.
Malts: Pilsner zero, Munich light, Low colour Maris Otter, Carafa special T-2, Chocolate rye, Caramel pale, Caramel 300, Oat malt
Hops: Magnum, Columbus, Northern Brewer

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small beige head. Rich aroma of licorice, earth and madeira. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Raisiny madeira, caramel and earthy licorice. Mellow. Warming, oaky bitter finish.

TCBW2024. Black colour, small off-white head Aroma is chocolate, cherries, mild vanilla, some Madeira sweetness with a bit grapes and some wooden tones. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some slight nutty and slight alcohol sweetness to it.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter søt engelsk lakris, toffee, sjokolade, noe svisker og fat. Fyldig. Smaker toffee, mørk sjokolade, søt lakris og noe fat. Middels lang. Nok en gang mye for penga fra Pohjala!

Mjuk och elegant och den runda fylliga och porter gifter sig så fint med madeirafatet och ger koncentrerade mörka fruktig toner med russin, sötlakrits, madeira, katrinplommon. Mycket gott

Flarra med PQ på stor ölprovning. Här doftar det vinkällare där just madeira flarrona ligger krossade på golvet . Smakar spritlagrat , svagt lakrits, samt tydlig smak av madeira och choklad. Jävla god 😋 som vanligt från bryggeriet . Ok bättre betyg behöver fylligare ja lite fylligare

Flarra på Krokius. Doftar finfint med bourbonlagring o 70% choklad. Smaken ja jag var lite orolig då det var en baltic porter men den här var full med goa smaker. Bourbon o 70%choklad med lite russin. Lite tunn i eftersmaken men där ligger ändå russin o torkade fikon. Mmmm.
