Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily to a lasting film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of roast malt, peppers and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of smoked peppers, chocolate malt and a bit of coffee. The finish is smoky and peppery with a malt and habanero aftertaste. Decent overall.
