When you read about the legend that is Count Drakul, you would be very much excused if you find this aristocratic vampire to be a bit of a blood thirsty monster. Because in all honesty he is. He is however also a somewhat lonely nobleman, sitting there alone in an almost empty castle surrounded by only farmland with the odd village full of nothing but Transylvanian peasants. And even vampires can get fed up with only plain and dull peasant blood. So, often Dracula couldn’t be bothered going on a blood sucking spree, as it simply wasn’t worth it. But in the village of Apahida, a little further away, lived a young and handsome brewer who had specialized in rich, nutritious Imperial Stouts which he would come and sell by the door of the castle. And Drakul had developed a certain craving for these tasty, strong beers to a degree where he almost found them more delicious than blood. Almost. But the count struggled. Because this young brewer also had the most attractive and pale neck that Drakul had ever seen. But if he took the bite, his supply of tasty, strong beer would vanish. Oh the dilemma, what to do?? Then the door bell rang…
This beer is a collaboration made with Blackout Brewing, Cluj, Transylvania, România.

0.44l can. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruit and liquor with earthy note. Pours almost black color with thin creamy brown head and poor lacing. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and bitter chocolate, following is earthy, nutty, fruity and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, mild spicy and warm alcoholic, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Bloody good…

Smell-weak to medium, caramel, vanilla, malt.
Foam- medium thick, roast, faint caramel, some chocolate, some coffee. Head is medium sized, dark brown in color.
Appearance- very nice amager can as usual, black in color, no visible carbonation.
From - random glass
Taste - weak caramel, weak chocolate, some roast, some sweetness and a touch of alcohol. Some vanilla in mix and slight alco tones. Not exacly my type of stout, would liek it to be sweetner but feels a bit dry.

(On tap) Black with good brown head. Amazing chocolate and vanilla aroma. Full bodied smooth, slightly sticky, with fine carbonation. Excellent taste. Start is chocolate and vanilla with some nice gentle tart notes of dried fruit and maybe alcohol. There’s a restrained dark toffee sweetness in the middle. Then a very dark chocolate bitterness steadily grows leaving some bitterness and alcohol in the finish inviting another sip for the sweet start. Exceptional.
