Small can, In the company of Jude and Baz on Thursday, 14th August 2025, sat in Frank in the car park of Hoppebräu. So far I've managed to avoid this crazy Dubai chocolate lark, however Baz brought along this beer, I think from Hereford Beer House..Pours shark-eye black with a fast-disappearing head. Sweet (off the scale sweet) but very chocolatey, with cocoa and dark chocolate, pistachio, caramel, and molasses dominating. Rich yet cloying, with a boozy edge. Likeable but like other big Impys from Vault City this is not without it's flaws, the key one being that it's far too sweet.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 03/08/2025.
Black topped with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is chocolate, caramel, nutty, mellow roast, toasted brown sugars.
Taste comprises chocolate, brown sugar melt, light coffee, molasses, toffee fudge, modest roast, nutty tang.
Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close spliced with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy sipper.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Nice nose of dark chocolate, pistachio, toffee, molasses, caramel cake. Rich taste of chocolate cake, pistachio, bonfire toffee, caramel, molasses. Heavy alcohol heat. Boozy warming finish. Yum 😋!

Appearance is pitch black, not really any head. Clinginess in the glass. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, caramel, nutty malt, marzipan, salted caramel. Rich dark chocolate. Taste is rich and sweet chocolate, almond, toffee, caramel, peppery hoppy hints, melted chocolate bar, nutty malt, pistachio, lots of sweetness. Very full-on, does come together well though.

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, a small and a 'blink and you will miss it' tan head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich if fairly light bodied dark malts, rich chocolate, good mix of dark chocolate and milk, 'bout 70-30. A decent pistachio nutty vibe on the back end. Slightly tangy and ripe fruits. Well then, just finished a bar of this expensive hype last night. This brew is a pretty good take on the style and has a good overall vibe of the real thing including, the almost rose like aftertaste. Good return to form for this series. Drinks dangerously easy!
