What started as a collab with our friends at Timnath Beerwerks, a portion of this rye imperial stout found a nice home inside a special rye barrel from West Bottoms Whiskey Co of Kansas City (typo on label), for a nice slumber of 24 months.
The result is a sophisticated blend of our NOCO and KC roots with all local malts including rye, and soaking up that extra fruity spice from the barrel and balanced by dark chocolate sweetness.

8 oz. can (love big beers in small cans!). Black, with a small, foamy, tan head. The nose is apple brandy, rye bread, dark chocolate, chicory, and chalk. Sweet and sugary, with a harsh, earthy bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and dry. Bold and assertive, with some funky flavors.
