Bottle sample at a tasting at Naama’s place. Thanks Naama. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of bready malt, graininess, a bit of hay and grassy notes. Sweetish flavor with bready malt, graininess and mild bitter grassy hops. Light to medium-bodied. Decent and easy-drinking.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Light yeasty! Light biter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate.

Pale yellow, no real head. Aroma is sweet with a very slight fruitiness. A fruitiness that comes across as more vinegar like. Could be a bunk batch.

Das Spezial ist ein etwas stärkeres Helles mit einem vollerem Geschmack ähnlich den 12-grädigen tschechischen Bieren. Als solches ist es sehr schön zu trinken. Vielleicht nicht so frisch-spritzig, aber dafür tiefgründig-süffig. Es war mal weit verbreitet im Handel, jetzt findet man es nurmehr sehr vereinzelt von Fass in der Gastronomie 🪑.

Golden pour with thin white head. Many bubbles. Aroma is grass and new hay. Light body, light malt flavour. A little clove in the finish.

Bottle in Vienna. A decent, medium to full bodied lager. You could taste the alcohol a bit, it was that much stronger than their Goldbrau. It was also a touch sweeter. In my opinion, though, it was much less complex, and less well-balanced than either their goldbrau or zwickl. Ok, but not very interesting, and as good as their other beers.

(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and slowly lacing foamy white head. Slightly dusty, moderately sweet malty nose with a touch of cardboard and shy herbal spice. Cara-malty and slightly bready taste with a moderately dry and (crusty) malty finish (06.08.08).

Bügelverschlußflasche: Medium sized, fluffy and lacy white head; light to moderate grainy nose; solid sweetish, slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied; solid sweet grainy finish with a light hoppyness. A pleasant, chewy brew.........
