The carefully selected ingredients, a traditional fermentation process and four weeks of cold storage set this speciality apart from the rest. Its grainy, full-bodied character and mild bitterness make the Stiegl Spezial a particularly rich alternative. 12.5°

Test vom 14.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,12,13,11,11,11 - 11,05

As Salzburger Stiegl Bier (Louis Glunz Import). Warm malt aroma. Brassy gold color with a persistent white head that wants to lace. Starts a bit hoppy, backed by malt. A bit biscuity. Not too carbonated. Mildly bitter finish. This is pretty drinkable stuff, though it seems like the alcohol effect is stronger than I’d expect.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Hayish malty and hoppy flavour with some sweet notes. Aftertaste is kind of hayish and papery.

[Bottled] Deep golden. Papery nose. Sweet and malty, with shitloads of cardboard and simplistic bold malt character. Dusty finish without bitterness.

Bottled(500ml). -on my label is only Spezial, nice and pleasant hop aroma, dry finish with mild alcohol notes, refreshing and easy drinkable brew, I would’t agree that this is an ale, I think this is a premium lager
