Vestkyst er eit så kraftig humla øl at dei fine, fruktige smaksnyansane frå den opne gjæringa blir meir kamuflerte. Maltblandinga av pale ale malt og to sortar karamellmalt er viktige for å balansere humlen. All humle blir tilsett siste halvtimen av kokinga, noko som løftar smak og aroma på ølet. Etter primærgjæringa blir ølet tørrhumla i tanken i 9 dagar med Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe og Zeus, før det blir tappa på flasker og fat for naturleg karbonering. Vestkyst har henta namnet sitt frå amerikanske indiaøl og frå det faktum at Kinn Bryggeri er lokalisert i den vestlegaste byen i Noreg. Den kraftige humlesmaken står godt til krydra mat og faktisk også til pinnekjøt av lam. Prøv også Vestkyst til blåmuggost og til gulrotkake!

Clear amber beer, huge creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty resinous, orange peel, bit oxidised, caramel malts, some tropical fruits, alcohol, bit of nail polish. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, caramel, soft bitterness, orange peel, bit oxidized. Aftertaste: bit floral, soapy bitterness, some citrus, bit sweet.

Draught @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Smooth, hoppy, piney and resinous IPA with some grass and herbal notes. Okay.

hazy dark orange to amber colour, moderate sized slightly beige-ish off-white head; aroma of pine, mango, caramel and rye bread notes; taste of tropical fruity and malty-caramel sweetness, as well as resiny bitterness; much less complex and enjoyable IPA, than I expected...quite average one

Bottle courtesy of Lucas. Unclear amber with a beie head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 211016

Smell of hops, spruce. Muddy brown colour, small white head. Aroma of hops, earth, leaves. Should be much more fresh. Mildly bittter, lively carbon.

Bottle at RBESG 2016 Grand Tasting Part 1, Brew Pub Le Sec. Hazy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, peach and light malt. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Aroma and taste is fruity hoppy and malty, peachy, grapefruit, mandarin, some caramel malty sweetness, pine needles, nice medium dank herbal hoppy action into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caña en el Lupulo 28..08..2016 (r231). Color ámbar marrón tostado con espuma blanca Aromas y sabores maltosos algo tostados y herbaceos ligeramente afrutados. ligero amargo final. Buena.
