Alexandre Bournonville is the brewer and founder of the Distrikt craft brewery, a microbrewery located in the Yvelines, in the heart of the plain of Versailles. Coming from a family of farmers producing, in particular, malting barley, Alexandre did not fall into the profession by chance. He certainly owes it a bit to his Belgian origins. He discovered craft beers during family reunions in Belgium and during his studies in the United States. It was when he saw Parisian establishments brewing their own beer that he convinced himself to one day create his own craft brewery. His experience in the United States reinforced his passion and his desire to create his own micro-brewery, where he now produces many beers, whose names are inspired by the music he listens to while brewing them.
