We opened in October 1999. Under the leadership of legendary publican Colin Barr and now managed by son, Joshua, the family run Bier Halle has developed into a Glasgow institution securing its position as one of the most popular bars in Glasgow.

The addition of our ‘Beer Garden’ (‘bier garten’ to us) has proved a huge hit with customers. Situated right on our doorstep, it spans all the way along Gordon Street to Buchanan Street. When we do get a rare bit of sun there’s no better spot to grab a beer in the city centre and do a bit of people watching.

Inside our underground bar we are a contemporary beer hall with Czech and German influences. Serving one of the largest collections of international and craft beers that Glasgow has to offer you are sure to find something that suits your taste.
