After more than forty years of brewing in his garage, Alain Turpault and his partner Mondine de Caupenne decide to take the plunge by creating their small business. They opened the Baca craft brewery in Batz-sur-Mer in 2015. Six years later, they brew around fifteen different beers.
The small brewery has moved to a large hangar in the heart of the salt marshes in the Prad Velin area and brews more than 350 hectoliters per year, which it sells mainly on site, but also to restaurateurs (1/3 of sales) and in grocery stores.
