Description
Brewing is a family affair here. Learn more about Anthony, Eric, and Tanguy Grall, founders of the PAB microbrewery.
In 2021, the Grall family, with the help of Antoine Lavis, a Belgian who taught brewing at the University of Brussels, launched Penn ar Batz, a microbrewery on the island of approximately 450 inhabitants.
The brews produced quickly found their audience and became so popular that "we were often out of stock," says Tanguy Grall, who is part of the venture along with his brother, Anthony, and his father, Eric.
Since October 31, 2023, the brewery has moved to new, larger premises to increase production. Initially located in a former butcher shop, the team now works in a renovated farmhouse. The old brewery has been transformed into a shop.
Proudly islanders, our beers tell the stories of Île de Batz, both human and environmental.
We channel our passion for beer into creating recipes that reflect the diversity of the island and its inhabitants.
Connected to the land and all living things, and central to social rituals, our beers celebrate the sharing and creativity that are so dear to us.
