Description
The brewery was established in the Fukui Prefecture in 1860, at the time only naming its top sakes “Born”. However, since 1963, the brewery started making only premium ginjo style sake and began naming all of its sakes under the “Born” brand name. In the Showa Era (1926), the emperor began using Born sake for Japan’s ceremonies, festivals and international guests as Japan’s representative brand.
