Since Mixtape opened in February 2022 we’ve received nothing but a generous welcome into Marrickville and the Inner West Ale Trail, to say that we love it here would be an understatement! Like our name suggests we operate not only as a brewery but also as a bar where you can pull up a pew with a delicious Australian skin contact wine which you can choose from our 40 plus wine list or maybe go for a matched boilermaker of a Mixtape beer and highland Whiskey. Our onsite kitchen serves up delicious fare till late such as kimchi dumplings, pizzas, fish tacos and much more.

Much like our name, we love a mix of everything here at Mixtape Brewing & Bar. Not only do we love a tasty beer, but we’re also partial to skin contact wine, delicious whiskey, and even a sneaky gin. Jason (our Head Brewer and Director) has been involved in the Sydney craft beer scene since 2012 when he opened Spooning Goats (RIP) in Sydneys CBD. Jasons passion for sours and other interesting beers meant that not only was Spooning Goats supporting many emerging and independent brewers up until it’s closure in 2020, but that he was also able to collaborate with them to bring his own flavour to light. After it’s closure Jason was part of the first intake of the Brewers course at TAFE NSW where he honed his knowledge, from then he did stints at a few local breweries all while working towards what would become Mixtape Brewing & Bar.

We’re the only place you can get a Mixtape beer, with our 300L system being put through its paces by Jason and Colin (our Bar Manager, brewer and all round good guy) churning out fun and creative beers such as Gruits, Raw Ales, Hopped Sours, IPA’s and Double Fruited Sours just to name a few! With 18 taps (8 of which are for our own beers) we still have plenty of space for seltzers, ciders as well as some select International beers alongside local independent only Aussie craft brewers.
