Crowler. Pours a clear, amber-brown color, with a small, fizzy, fleeting, khaki head. The nose is heavy rye malts, toffee, cherry, light anise, light red wine tannins, and black bread. Sweet and very malty, with a syrupy, winey backing. Mild, earthy bitterness. Medium body, slick, and musty. Fun idea, but falls a little flat.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear, straw color, with a medium, foamy, off-white head. The aroma is spruce, grapefruit peel, grains of paradise, and light quinine. Fairly dry, musty, and mildly bitter. Medium body, sticky, and crisp. Solid and interesting. Not terribly hazy, but whatever.

Crowler. Pours a clear, orange color, with a big, tan head. The aroma is resin, marigolds, white toast, coriander, and light lavender. Sweet, bready malts, with a resinous, sticky bitterness. Medium body, sticky, and grainy. Nice, aggressive, west coast style IPA.
