Description
As brewers of hand crafted ales, we are outdoor enthusiasts who look forward to sharing our craft beers that are most balanced and of the highest quality. Located on Bend's Westside. We take our name from the lifestyle that most Bend-ites live. With tons of recreation, sprinkled with hard work and friends make living in Bend truly the GoodLife. The 30 Barrel Brewhouse and fermentation area are the focal point of the huge viewing windows looking out from within the Bier Hall (our Tasting Room) where you can grab a pint of not only our delicious brews but some of our favorite breweries as well. GoodLife’s adventurous ales are Descender IPA, Mountain Rescue Dry Hop Pale Ale, Sweet As Pacific Ale and a selection of seasonal beers. In addition to making beer, GoodLife enjoys giving back to the community by supporting many local and national non-profit organizations. Play hard, live easy and enjoy GoodBeer for GoodLife!

Sampled from the tap at Bier Stein. Pours near black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy dark grains with a bit of licorice, chicory and dark fruit. Flavor has lots of dark grains and chicory with a touch of dark fruits.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some messy lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell had a big sweet burst of tropical goodness flowing into floral and sweet grassy qualities.
The taste was mainly sweet with barely any bitterness. Tropical fruits really dominate and allowing a sticky sweet aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth and sweet somewhat candy - like to semi-creaminess runs along my tongue.
Overall, APA or APWA, I’m thinking this is an APA, as I don’t get any wheat bite anywhere. Still a delicious beer I’d probably come back to preferably in the Summer.
