Bottle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts. Taste is roasted malt, hazelnut, light ash, bit of dark chocolate. Decent.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left minimal lacing. The aroma was toasty and woody with caramel and a light burnt presence. The flavor was dryish with wood, caramel, malt and toffee. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Straw and hazy, thin head. Has a mellow bitterness, some papaya fruitiness. Funny, not as neipa as I was thinking.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Light tropical aromas with peach and citrus out front. A little grain and lemon as it warms. Prickly bitterness with pith and green hops. Dry and bitter on the finish. Not bad, but not really an NEIPA...more of a west-coast style with modern hops. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fancy Boy on 28 Feb 2018 at 10:59 - Score: 6. Original review text: Light tropical nose, some peach aromas. Clean and crisp. West coast style with a New England hop profile. Bitter, prickly finish.
