Bottle. A hazy, golden-orange beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather sourish, with some milky hints. Fruity, with some apricots. The flavor is quite fruity, not as sourish as expected judging from the aroma, but sure off. Peaches, some pine cones and bitterness in the flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Fruity, sour and bitter finish. Why on earth do Vinmonopolet keep on selling beers from Larvik? They’re supposed to have some sort of quality requirements, but seems they don’t anymore. 140829

Pours dark brown with off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, yeast, chocolate and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour with a sour, burned finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, thx to Sigmund. It pours a very dark brown body, unclear and with a small, diminishing beige head. The aroma has some notes of bonfire, with roasted malts, some dried fruits and some cold coffee. There’s some sourness in the flavor, not only bonfire-ish sourness, with a little sweetness in the back. Roasted malts, bonfire, coffee and a touch of dark bitter chocolate in the flavor. Medium body, dry, and with a tad too much carbonation. Lasting finish. Not very good this one, feels a bit off, but it’s drinkable. 140829

Flaske fra Matkroken Stokka, etter plenklippen: lys gylden, lett uklar. Flott skum som varer helt til bunns. Lett smak med slank munnfylde (dvs tynn) med litt citrusfriskhet men lite og ingenting av det jeg forbinder med en god hveteøl (koriander, banan, nellik osv). Forfriskende, men alt for dyr til å kunne bli en plenklipperøl hos meg.
