Bottle #821. It pours a golden-orange, hazy body with a finger-thick white head. Very lively carbonation. Bananaish on the nose, slighlty candy-like, with some notes of citrus and coriander. Actually more reminiscent of a hefe-weizen. Quite nice though. Very effervescent in the mouth, medium body. Quite sweet flavor, again banana, some citrus and cloves, and also a little bitterness. Sweet finish with more pronounced bitterness. As a kölsch, it’s far from bullseye, it seems the brewer has been peeking too much on his wit and hefeweizen recipes, but it’s a tasteful, quaffable beer. A bit over-carbonated maybe, but that’s ok. Could easily drink more of this one. (081030)

Bottle, thx to anchr. A very dark brown beer with a ruby hue. Beige, diminishing head. Roasted, more or less burnt aroma with bonfire smoke and coffee. A bit one-dimentional I think. The flavor has bonfire smoke notes, coffee, charcoal and some hops towards the finish. Medium, quite effervescent mouthfeel. Dry, roasted finish. The beer is quite nice, English styled and a bit one-dimentional. It lacks on the hops I think. (080731)

Bottle. (#817) The beer pours a very dark brown body under a nice but rather quickly diminishing beige head. Burnt, bonfire-sourish aroma with a touch of dried fruits. Would like the aroma to be more pronounced, it was a bit anonymous. Medium body, quite dry in the mouth, with flavors of roasted malt and some bitterness. Touch of coffee too. Lasting burnt finish. A decent beer, but far from outstanding. (080708)

Bottle. (#819) A copper colored, slightly hazy beer with a small, beige head. Burnt, coffee-grit aroma with a fruityness, some caramel and a tiny note of chocolate. Nice fruity bitterness in the flavor, and also slightly burnt maltyness. Touch of sourness too. Long bitter finish. An almost astringent, burnt and dry thin mouthfeel. Didn’t suspect the burnt aromas and flavors, but they didn’t hurt at all. What I didn’t like, was the little sourness in the beer. A quite decent beer. (080708)

Bottle. (#820) It pours an unclear, yellow-orange body and a nice white head. The carbonation is so intense, it causes the yeast to circulate vertically. Fascinating. The aroma is too artificial, with banana and bubblegum being the most evident. Fruits, a touch of cloves and some tiny sour notes too. Too sour in the mouth, in a grainy way, with artificial banana, some citrus and yeast, and a little flavor of cloves. Medium full body, highly effervescent. Not a bad beer, but fails to pin the style I think. (080708)

Biggish beige head does not last. Opaque black body goes barely translucent brown-red at edges. Thin, rather vague roasty faintly smoky and acidic aroma. Dry lightly acidic and burnt smoky taste. Quite watery and thin-bodied. Watery-acidic roasty chocolatey aftertaste. Boring and too thin. (0.5l bottle from yngwie.)

Smallish beige coarseish head. Hazy amber body. Roasty wooden watery aroma with unclean grainy notes. Dry faintly acidic roasty grainy taste with some background sweetness. Fruity bubblegum notes. Dry, a bit astringent, roasty grainy aftertaste lasts for a long time. Half-decent. (0.5l bottle from yngwie. Batch #818.)

Huge white fine-laced lasting head. Opaque paleish yellow body. Thin watery estery aroma with bananaish notes. Dry chemical grainy banana bubblegum taste with chalky notes. Fizzy. Carbonates in the mouth. Thin mouthfeel. Dry artificial aftertaste lingers. Didn’t like this much, which surprised me. (0.5l bottle from yngwie. Batch #820.)

Biggish offwhite head. Hazy brown body. Fruity pea aroma with grassy earthy herbal notes. Dryish grassy pea and roasty malts taste. Sharpish. Bitter thin grassy aftertaste. Some soapy peppery acidity. Decent, but needs work. Light infection? (0.5l bottle from KnutAlbert.)
