12 oz bottle from Wegmans poured into tulip glass. This may have been intended to be a stout but it comes off as a black IPA, from the amount of hopping. Opaque with a thick tan head, full bodied. Aroma of roasted grain with some hops, coffee taste with grapefruit. Lingering bitter finish, not the malty finish of a stout.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky peach color with a small foamy orange-white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet with artificial blueberry and a vague herbal note. The flavor was basil, artificial blueberry, bread crust and almost yellow mustard. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Odd.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark copper color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was orange, pine and a bit of hot pepper. The flavor was tangy and sweet with strong pine, sugar and a noteworthy hot pepper presence that grew with each sip. Long sweet pine and hot pepper finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel-tan color with a trace white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was toasty and malty with honey and bread. The flavor was toffee, honey, yeasty and a bit of golden fruit. Almost a butterscotch note. Long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Very nice.
