On tap at Carson's, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hop upfront, followed by caramel bready malt. Flavour is robust, with loads of resinous hops, some pine and caramel bready malt. Wonderfully balanced. Such sticky resins backed by a nice caramel backbone. Excellent stuff.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, brown-amber with a tick tan head. Caramel, vanilla, barley scent. Taste is toasty, sweet caramel malt, chocolate, vanilla. A touch of raw vanilla/lactic/husky bitter. Solid.

Growler: Clear, deep brown/copper with a small tan head. Earthy coffee, chocolate aroma. Taste is sweet, roasty coffee, chocolate malt.....the chocolate keeps getting stronger and sweeter as it goes..... A bit of earthy/leafy bitter. Very tasty.

Growler: Neatly black with a dark brown head. Sweet chocolate/cocoa aroma. Taste is a little lactic, a bit of alcohol dryness on top of sweet, dark chocolate malt. A bit of milky bitter-sweet. Pretty tasty......just a little less heft than I prefer in an Imperial stout.....but it’s still good.

Draft. Hot peppers, rye malt, and straw aroma. Dark amber with small head. Moderately sweet toffee malt and light bitter hay flavor quickly overwhelmed by strong hot pepper burn. Good body. Very spicy but tolerable.
