Draft: Reddish amber pour with a finger of sandy head. Strong aroma of florals and citrus hops. Nice hoppy kick with florals, grapefruit, and caramel maltiness. Hoppy red ale.

Clear golden pour with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Grainy malt and faint hops in the nose. Light body with flavors of cereal malt, mild hops and a bit of corn. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Nothing memorable overall.

22oz bomber pours almost clear copper with gold edges and full semi loose light tan head. The aroma seems to be a mix of grapefruit like hops, some pine hops and a bit of spicy hop notes. The taste is similar with some bitter hop notes nearing astringent qualities with grapefruit and lime as well as a bit of pine and spicy hops. This is a modestly hopped brew where the flavor hops show up along with a touch of dry roasted maltiness. So so IPA

22oz bomber pours clear deep gold with semi loose off white head. The modest aroma has some spicy hops, earthy to slightly dank hops as well as a bit of citrus like lemon to lime notes. The taste is similar with some spicy to earthy to dank like hoppiness that have both bittering hop and hop flavor going for them. Around those notes are lesser amounts of floral hops, some malt graininess, stale sort of organic malts and a yeastiness that seems to pull this apart rather than add to the experience. Regardless this is a decent product.

Poured up on tap at MacKenzie River Pizza with clear pale gold body that is nearly watery clear and supporting a thin white head. The aroma has some berry fruitiness mixing with maybe a faint grainy maltiness or a Pilsener like malt note. The taste is the same but it has a bit of a sugary saccharin sensation behind the bubbly sweet sugary berry notes. Off in the background from time to time a faint maltiness can be detected. It is a bit tough to finish a pint of this.

Poured up on tap at MacKenzie River Pizza with clear light copper to gold color and off white head. The mild aroma offers up a sense of hoppiness and sweet malts. The taste has a surprising level of crisp tart spicy like hops mixing with lesser amounts of sweet malts and faint biscuit maltiness in the background. Tasty stuff with a pleasing hop forward flavor.

Bottle: Middle depth orange with a light haze. Tons of this lacing coats my paper motel room cup. Not a lot of aroma, some florals and dirty malt. Tastes mostly hop forward, florals and a bit of grass, gets a bit herbal and has notes I’d associate with iced tea. Not bad at all.

I find it amusing how reading through some of the ratings people had high expectations for this pale lager solely for the reason its being brewed by a micro brewer, only to be let down by the fact its still a pale lager. If anything, I was biased the other way. In fact I distinctly remember when my coworker brought this back from Whitefish thinking ‘Oh, cool a friggin pale lager. Of all the other things he could have picked, why oh why did he pick the pale lager?’ Nevertheless I had six chances to come up with something to type up. With a deep golden color that is bright and clear, a fluffy white head sits atop for only a minute or two. Aroma is more or less light floral hops and some lager malt, no real surprises here. Taste is clean and crisp, hops and lager malt. No grain or grassiness, no metallic twang. Not what I’d order on a regular basis, but if you’re comparing to style the 90th percentile is just.

12 oz can into Sam Adams lager glass. Now this beer brings back some memories. Haven’t seen this around since the early 2000s. Pours clear gold with a large white head with great retention. Aromas include creamed corn, cereal grain, SweeTarts, sour cherry jam. Taste is sweet and grainy and a bit salty. Carbonation is high, body is light. Has a bit of a tart finish. Bland, but not as bland as most of these types of beers.
