22oz bomber pours with a clear coppery to amber body supporting a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some sweet malty roastiness, cherry like esters and a touch of sweet molasses too. The taste has a very similar profile with sweet malts, sweet molasses, a bit of malt roastiness and then sweet cherry and prune flavored dark fruity esters. If there’s hops in here I’m not really sensing them. Pretty darn tasty though.

Bottle thanks to fata2683: Poured a reddish brown with a finger thick tan head. Aroma is very sweet malt, boozy, and vanilla. Taste is rich caramel malt with nice boozy notes and vanilla along with cocoa. The alcohol is there, but don’t overpower the taste.

Finally the last of my backlog from my week in Arizona! I drank this last of my sampler at the brewpub. I have never been more tired at 3 in the afternoon and i was fighting to stay awake but still this brew tasted damn good. pours jet black and you get coffee and hops on nose. tastes of hops, espresso, molasses, vanilla, and cola. hint of smokiness on finish and well carbonated.

A not so black ipa more like chestnut but nice head and pleasant aromas. Tastes plenty piney, with some citrus, toast, roasted malt, and some coffee bitters. My cousin who was drinking with me asked what a black ipa was and this isn’t necessarily the brew tonteach that lesson with.

Tap at brewpub while enjoying patio on lovely afternoon. Nose of artificial raspberry syrup. Tastes of grains, light hops, and lots of that syrupy raspberry. Not my cup of tea but not offensive.

Grabbed a sampler and some wings after hiking Mt Humphreys. This was a copper pour with one finger fluffy head. Nose of citrus and caramel, tastes of pine, grass, grapefruit, caramel, floral, and some earthy tones. Quite delicious and refreshing
