12oz can pours with a clear copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some pine hops, a bit of citrusy hops and then lightly roasted malts that are off in the background. Overall the aroma is pretty mild for the style. The taste starts with a dash of grapefruit citrus hops flavor and then it rolls into resiny citrus and pine hops. The base of malts is just about right for a classic Pale Ale with a mix of malt sweetness and a dash of lightly roasted malts. Pretty good.

Pours up at AZ Strong Ale Fest 2014 with a copper to gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up malts and resiny hops that have a pine sap sort of citrusy grapefruit hoppiness. The taste offers up a mix of diacetyl buttery caramel notes mixing with grapefruit and tangelo like citrus hoppiness. There’s a smooth and pleasing thick sweet maltiness that provides a nice base for what this beer has going on. So obviously the diacetyl gets in the way here but the huge pile of hoppiness helps drive this experience right through the off notes. So there’s that.

Draft - Candy sweet malts and floral hops. Pale gold with a rich white head. Candy floss hops and malt sweetness, followed by bitterness and booze. The finish kills this beer with to little up front and to harsh t the end.

Draft - Roast malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Jet black with a creamy brown head. Roast malts, some chocolate and the coffee. Nicely balanced.

Draft - light roast and a bit of chocolate. Creamy beige head and clear dark brown. Grains, toasted malts and chocolate, finish is a bit bitter to counteract sweetness. A simple style done well.
