Draft at Great Basin, Reno. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Actually looks about the same as the Icky IPA. Mild aroma of grass and grains. Light flavors of grassy and floral hops with some cereal grains. Body is slightly heavier than a blonde ale so I guess that makes it a cream ale?

Draft at Great Basin, Reno. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Modest aroma of citrus and floral hops, lightly sweet. Good hops flavor for a middle of the road approachable IPA. Not over the top and not watered down. Light citrus and florals, somewhat sweet and rather tame on the bitters.

Draft at Great Basin, Reno. Deep brown pour with a persistent beige head. Aroma is really quite fantastic. Subtle smokiness to go with the hint of chilies, dark chocolate, and vanilla. I’d swear there was espresso used here as well. The flavor is a balance of the roast, dark chocolate and vanilla. Light smoky presence and light heat from the chilies. The chilies are definitely not overpowering, so don’t be afraid. This was one of my favorites of my visit to GB.

Draft at Great Basin, Reno. Pale yellow pour with plenty of haze, small white cap. Aroma is distinctly Belgian yeast and esters, very minimal fruity notes from the citrus. Tastes more like a witbier than an IPA. Minimal citrus to go with mostly Belgian yeast. Sure it may contain real grapefruit, but not much.

Draft at Great Basin, Reno. Clear golden color with a modest white head. Aromatic with citrus and pine, some caramel malt. Hop flavor delivers nicely with citrus and tropical fruits, a little more pine. Malt base is sturdy, but this is a hops forward beer.

Tap @ The Pig BBQ in Winnemucca. Deep brown pour with about an inch of creamy tan head. Mild aroma of roasted malts and sweet milk chocolate. The body is a little thin, but it still maintains a pretty creamy feel. Roasted malts and some mocha, modestly bittersweet. Very drinkable.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Pours black with a modest dark brown head. Heavy aroma is boozy and full of the barrel treatment. Deep roast and char in the taste, some vanilla and bourbon barrel sweetness along with the pit fruit.
