tap at the brewery - Pours copper colored and has a good citrus hop aroma. It initially struck me as pretty sweet for an IPA, but not to worry as the big citrus hops flavor hits next. Medium bodied and quite tasty.

tap at the brewery - Pours very dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is mainly dark roast malt. It tastes of chocolate malt and a hint of coffee. Itβs medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Good brew.

tap at the brewery - Pours amber and the lingering heads leaves some lacing. The aroma is of toasted caramel malt and of course the flavor is sweet, toasted caramel malt. The rye flavor is there though not strong by any means. Itβs medium bodied and fairly good.

tap at the brewery - Pours copper colored with a caramel malt and hop aroma and some good lacing. The flavor is a typical pale ale with moderately strong hops, a touch of citrus, and caramel accented malt. Itβs medium bodied and just a straightforward APA.

tap at the brewery (description said it was aged in a French Oak Syrah barrel) - The brew has a mild, pleasant aroma mostly of wine. It tastes of sweet, pale malt and grapes with a light body and no noticeable hop presence. Interesting brew. The wine barrel aging works well for it.

tap at the brewery - Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with a small head and a really citrus heavy aroma. It tastes very sweet with citrus notes. This light bodied brew is a decent quaff, but nothing special.

Big thanks to GodOfThunder for the share AGAIN!! Pours a nice looking dark void with dark brown edges with thin tan head and a bit of stain on the side of the drinking vessel. The aroma hits first with dark chocolate and then some malt roastiness before booze and oak fill in behind. The taste is dark chocolate, malt roastiness, booze, a bit of oak and solid bourbon. This is pretty darn smooth and tasty.

Big thanks to GodOfThunder for the share of this tasty 2007 vintage!! It pours clear brown with copper edges and thin off white head. It has a rich juicy aroma starting with a little bit of oak then moving into oak, vanilla and a thin layer of thick chewy malty sweetness. The taste is similar starting with a pulse of thick syrupy sweetness then quickly becoming oak, bourbon and then some vanilla surfaces about midway. It ends with lingering smooth bourbon, oak notes and an echo of dark fruitiness.

thanks to godofthunder for opening this one. pours of the darkest black with no head. 2007 bottle aroma had lots of bourbon and notes of chocolate, oak barrel comes out nicely. taste, bourbon written all over it and just pure goodness to the palate. Roasted malts with chocolate, dark fruits and plenty of bourbon for a nice warming palate. outstanding beer!

cheers to Godofthunder for sharing this one. 2007 bottle. pours dark brown, thin beige head. aroma of bourbon, caramel, chocolate malts and roast. Found the overall aroma to be slightly under the palate which was filled with bourbon. taste, boozy, bourbon is all over this barley wine, some caramel and chocolate. Light to flat in carbonation this remains a well crafted beer.
