Light brown colour, hazy. Aroma is nuts, with a touch of white grapes from the hops. Aromas blend perfectly, it does not feel like yet another black IPA. Light bitterness. Light body. Easy to drink. Fantastic!

On tap at Hopito, pours black with a reddish hue and a small tan head. Aroma is dominated by peat, with some red fruits and some campfire smoke. Flavour has a very complex peated campfire smoke character dominating without being brutal in any way—dry malt base to underpin it, with a long, peaty finish. Not particularly drinkable but it’s very memorable and somewhat enjoyable.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours a hazed blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of allium, woody piney hops, and light tangy citrus. Flavour is full of intense allium that dominates, gentle pine, and lightly tart citrus. Too much allium—fuck you, Citra—not enough Chinook to balance. It’s a well-made beer but the hop expression is too Citra-dominated for me.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of deep earthy roasted malt and plenty of earthy hops. Flavour is balanced impeccably, with bitter earthy hops, medium roast, and light lingering bitterness. Surprisingly light on the palate despite the hop and roast intensity. Excellent.
