Scarlet Imperial Red from Bend Brewing Company

On tap at the Growler Guys PDX, pours a clear dark copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, a little caramel and a touch of unsweetened dark fruits. Flavour is strange, with some odd spiciness upfront, followed by herbal notes and sweet caramel bready malt. There is a vegetal quality that is rather detracting, making this rather lame, but it's not disastrous. Meh.

Sample at Gabf. Pours a hazy yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is berry, wheat, funk. Thin body, cereal, wheat, berry, lacto, tart, good.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber orange with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of hibiscus with a good amount of tart pomegranate and some sweet wheat underlying. Flavor starts with sweet wheat and hibiscus with a tart pomegranate note that grows through the finish.

On tap at bend brewing. Pours out pale crisp straw color topped with a white head. Nose is wet wheat malts and some grassy notes. Taste is more of the nice wheat notes some grain and a light grass note.

On tap at bend brewing. Pours out a pink topped with a light pink head. Nose is nice raspberry sweetness sour tartness and some citrus. Taste is more of the berries a nice sour tartness bite.

On tap at bend brewing. Pours out a dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts some chocolate and a nice coffee. Taste is more of the nice chocolate roast malts some coffee.

On tap at bend brewing. Pours out a amber copper topped with a sand head. Nose is pitfruit some rich malts and a little caramel sweetness. Taste is more of the pit fruit rich malts and a nutty note.

Bottle shared by Pinkzambia slightly hazy light pink. Dry and clean Berlinner but the raspberry flavor was a bit medicinally and chemically. Just OK
