A clear, glowing amber beer with a dense, minimal sized light beige head. The aroma has some dusty maltyness, cellar, some fruity sourish notes and a touch of caramel. Some dried fruits in the flavor, with caramel maltyness, some berries and a faint cellary and sourish note. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish with some bitterness. Not a very successful doppelbock I think, slightly unclean, and lacking most of the good flavors found in a good doppelbock. 131122

Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with a fruity note. Deep, fruity and hoppy flavour, with notes of nuts and cherry barrel. Sweetish and sourish aftertaste. Nice.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out fresh tart oranges, mangos, and wheat. Flavour is very fruity and moderately tart, with tart oranges, mangos and pomegranate, and light wheat. Super fruity, quite tart and extremely refreshing. Great depth to this and very flavourful. Very good.

Glass at the Tin Bucket. Pours a jet black color with a small beige head. A nice nose of chocolate, light barrel, big fruity esters, tobacco. The flavor is deep dark fruit, a big but not over the top whiskey barrel, vanilla, tobacco, prune. big roast. Finishes dry. Very drinkable and very good.
