A dark brown ale with a very thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light molasses and raspberries. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, raspberry, alcohol warmth, still OK after 9 years.

Bottle from Asda. Amber-gold with a decent white head. Rather too fizzy. Dry malt and bran flakes up front with a light hint of grapefruit coming through in the finish. Definitely not the American IPA it claims to be; instead it's somewhere between a Tim Taylor's Landlord-style bitter and an English IPA. Pleasant enough though.

Shared with the boys at BBT 11/2021. Med-thin body, med-high carbonation. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness, good balance. Moderate flowery hops character, medium-med-light pumpkin spices. Pleasant balance, easy drinking, quite good.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours clear golden with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of citrus fruits, tangerine, peach, caramel and floral. Taste has more notes of citrus, tangerine, peach, caramel and floral with added toasty bread, peppery spice and a big citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Medium to full body with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite a nice and refreshing thirst quencher.

16oz can pours a clear gold with plenty of frothy white head. Nose has honey and flowers and some herbs, some citrus. Flavor has more grist and honey, more clear orange and grapefruit. Finishes with some bitterness and a lick of sweetness. Fine. 6 4 6 3 11
